Panarea

Panarea

Panarea is the smallest island of the archipelago. It is believed that Panarea, the rocks and small islets that surround it are an ancient submerged volcano.

Panarea’s rocky coast is among the Aeolians most impressive. Panarea was inhabited from the prehistoric era and signs of this first settlement are visible in the Bronze Age village of “Punta Milazzese”.
The guests could discover its naturalistic resources and archaeological finds through guided walks in this very nice village that permit to enjoy impressive landscapes of the islands.
Renowned as an exclusive and lively place, Panarea distinguishes itself by small alleys as well. Transportation is guaranteed by the small electrical cars, which are also the taxis in Panarea.
This island is characterized by white houses nicely decorated and built in the respect of the typical Aeolian architecture, surely worth a tour.

Set over the rocks by sea, facing the islets of Basiluzzo, Lisca Bianca, Lisca Nera, Dattilo, Bottaro, Spinazzola and the cliffs of the Panarelli and the Formiche, Raya night club proposes an occasion for a drink after dinner in a candle set atmosphere delighted by music.

Panarea could also offer the possibility of doing diving and snorkelling in its clear waters.
Nice diving spot would be close to Basiluzzo islet, a solid headland that finishes in a wall that goes down into the sea with a north-east direction.
It is possible to see a lot of small and colored fishes, astroides and sponge colonies.
